Various flowers
There are plenty of flowers now, slowly turning into little tomatitos. I like to imagine it like a caterpillar magically transforming into a butterfly. There is undeniably some form of magic involved, for sure. Sadly, some of the little yellow flowers are drying out just as they should be changing. The stems just behind the flowers turn yellow and they simply drop off 🙁 Luckily this is only the case for a handful of them, which also happened last year, so I’m not so worried. I think it has to do with the amount of water they’re getting, but that’s just a feeling. What I’m doing now, is giving the plant that is affected the most, some extra water, just in case. The ollas are working extremely well, but as an upgrade, having them hooked up to a bigger tank of water that constantly supplies them with water would be a LOT better.
There is also one plant that has some weird flower / leaf “blob” (for lack of a better word). It’s like there are leaves and flowers growing together into a bundle or something. Looking forward to see what comes out!
On a side note, I saw that I had missed a few second layer leaves that have now evolved to branches. Some of them I decided to remove, even though they were already quite big, others I’ve let be and hope they grow some delicious tomatoes.
