Time for harvesting

Ok, the title is probably a bit misleading, as it’s literally 1 single little tomato that’s ready for nomming, but still. It felt so good to pluck it from the plant just feel its ripeness in my hand. The soft skin, the feeling of delicious flesh inside it, almost tasting the sweetness already.

On the pictures you can see that this tomato had a little hole in it, which was used by some creature to build a little home or something. Luckily, it wasn’t too bad, just a few dark bits that I cut away, which the chickens will to more than happy about.

And so it begins, harvest season!

(For the others to ripen and be ready for eating, it may take a while, as this one was a small cherry tomato)
