Finally ready for harvesting
Having planted the garlics too soon, they have already reached harvesting time. It seems like they are affected by some kind of illness or something, the leaves are all white/grey with black spots on them. Anyway, they are totally dead, so the time is now, if they like it or not 🙂
Digging them all up, I noticed that they are very small, which probably has to do with planting them at the wrong time. They smelt very strong at first, but once they were on the chopping board in the kitchen and later in the food, the taste was actually quite subtle, yet tasty.
As we have more garlics still growing, we will eat all of these and use some of the later ones for future batches.
So it’s time to enjoy some garlic now, mmhhh… 😀 I prepared some fried rice with garlic and sweet potato.
