Roots, so many roots!
As the title suggests, there are plenty of roots visible now. It seems these little experimental plants are enjoying it, having their roots extend freely and they’re also starting to look better now.
From what I understand when reading about hydroponics, it takes some time for the plants to grow. Since mine don’t have anything added to the water, I’m sure it will take even longer. I also have to keep an eye on the water, to make sure that it doesn’t go bad and start destroying the plant from the bottom.
I noticed that there was condensation happening in the lower part of the container and decided to make a hole in each one to allow fresh air to enter. The method of hydroponics that I’m trying, is the one where the used up water leaves a gap of air, which helps develop roots that will be responsible for breathing. So by the looks of it, there was no fresh air getting there, which I figured was bad for the plant.
We’ll see what happens in the coming weeks, see if the plants manage to grow even more!
