Cleaning up and revitalising

After a few days (probably even weeks) of not taking so much care of the garden, the garlic patch desperately need cleaning up.

What a great day for gardening it was today. I finally got rid of the tomato plants which I should have done ages ago, but since the tomatoes were still growing and it’s little yellow flowers popped out from time to time, I just left them. But today is the day when they were meant to go, enough is enough :-p

Clearing all the plants that didn’t belong in the garlic patch, it looks very empty afterwards. I took the opportunity to mix in a load of compost to freshen up the earth and add some growing power. The stems are getting thicker and I guess they will have a boost in growth, now that the sun can get through more easily and the weeds having been cleared out.
